Can we get you all steamed up?

Can we get you all steamed up?

Steam is hot!! And it does a business good – in so many ways. From improved cleaning and sanitation to tackling everything from sterilizing soil to sanitizing tanks and barrels, steam is  incredibly versatile. And today’s forward-thinking companies, from wineries to medical facilities to municipalities, are taking notice. So how can you get steamed up?

Do you know all of Steam’s super powers?

  • Steam kills germs, viruses, and bacteria. You may not be able to see viruses, bacterias, molds, mildews and other potentially infectious pathogens with your naked eye, but it’s everywhere around you. Because of steam’s high temperatures (over 212 F), it penetrates surface pores, and removes dirt, debris, bacteria, and other tiny elements with hot vapor molecules, that are able to kill even the strongest pathogens like E. Coli and Salmonella.
  • Steam is the best degreaser. When steam is propelled through a nozzle, it cleans grease better than any other cleaning solution. Steam can penetrate even porous surfaces to help get in deep for better cleaning and lift grease off of just about anything. Whether grease is on the exterior of machinery or appliances, or is stuck in gears, on hoses, in difficult to reach places or more, grease can get in there and get the job done.
  • Steam is chemical free. Instead of using chemicals to clean, steam uses water alone, so it doesn’t cause any chemical harm to the environment or to employees.
  • Steam saves money. It gets the job done faster using less water. Using steam can reduce water use by over 90%, saving a company money, and supporting an eco-friendly business environment. Plus, the reduced runoff with steam cleaning means less reclamation to deal with; many big jobs will require that a company reclaim the runoff water to conform to EPA regulations.

Steam comes in different shapes

Steam has been harnessed into a variety of different types of equipment to support companies from food and beverage production to automotive and agricultural (and everything in between). Steam even comes in ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ options.
